Normally I hate reading (and writing) woe is me posts anywhere on the internet because frankly there are just waaaay too many of them out there (yes, I’m talking about you, people I know on facebook) but when it comes right down to it some times there are plain ole stinky things that happen in life and it’s just the reality of being a human.
Now, before I go on, I want to state that I live a truly blessed and beautiful life. I have two gorgeous, sunshiny little kids who are my everything. A loving, supportive, handsome husband. A wonderful extended family and incredibly good friends. I live in a really nice apartment with terrific neighbors and drive a nice reliable car. I have plenty of food to eat, clean water to drink and I’ve got my good health. My life is really great and I have nothing to complain about.
Except for this one small thing (oh yeah and the complainers in my facebook feed): my beloved little computer got water on it a few weeks ago and now it needs to be replaced. It’s not the end of the world by any means, but it is a hugely devastating setback to me and I’m super bummed about the whole thing.
Now, you might be wondering where I’m writing this post from (my Dad’s and then edited at my friend Emily’s…thank-you) why on earth this is such a big deal (I’m a blogger people and I need to consistently post new content to keep and attract new readers) and why the heck don’t I just get a darn new computer? (I’m on maternity leave for 5 more months and we are on a budget until I am earning full time income once again).
With all that being said, I will get a new computer sometime in the near future, I just don’t know when and I wanted y’all (yes, I’ve been binge watching Nashville on Netflix) to know that I’m not sure how often I’ll be posting over the next little while. I’m not going away forever as I truly love sharing my culinary creations with you, so you can just think of this as the season finale and know that I’ll be back with all new episodes in just a short time.
In the mean time I’ve been working on a super exciting new project that will be launching in the next little while, so when I do come back it will be with a bang and a big announcement. If your curious, make sure you sign up for my email newsletter and you’ll be the first to know!
We all know the old saying when life gives you lemons, you make lemonade. My lemonade has been being at home with my my kids without any electronic or business distractions which has been especially wonderful over these delicious summer months. I guess the Universe was telling me that it was time to unplug and enjoy the sunshine and the little giggles of my babes.
